Plant Breeding and Research

As part of our “Glass House to Warehouse” strategy, Seed Genetics Australia breeds, develops and owns all of our varieties, the product genetics and intellectual property  

We have an extensive research program concentrating on alfalfa, white clover and annual clovers. The key areas of research and development are disease and pest resistance, plant persistence under livestock grazing and fodder production, increased plant production and reliability of seed production.

The breeding and development program is market driven in that we work closely with our customers and marketing partners to develop what the markets want. We conduct marketing and research trials in Australia and throughout the world to provide correct and reliable information to Seed Genetics Australia and our clients.
