Seed Production and Development

Reliable supply of high quality seed of our proprietary varieties is paramount to Seed Genetics Australia.

To ensure this, we contract over 60 professional seed growers to produce our seed. They are located in the Australian states of South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Tasmania, with areas also in production in Argentina and the USA.

We have over 6200 hectares of alfalfa, white clover and annual clovers under irrigation production and a further 1400 hectares in reliable rainfall environments. The irrigated production and regional diversity gives guarantee of supply to our customers and overseas production means stocks are close to markets.

Our production and development manager David Pengelly is always interested in hearing from professional seed producers wanting to produce our varieties.

The processing and packaging of the seed is carried out by reliable accredited seed processing factories located in the production areas.
